Electives -

Elective Requests 2020-2021:

Today (5/15/20)  at 12:00 noon an electronic link will be posted in the student TEAMS channel for each current 6th and 7th grade student to complete for next year. Elective requests will be granted to each student on a first come basis. Attached you will find a 2020-2021 course catalogue with the description of each elective and course requirements.

It is important to discuss with your child the following:

The elective being chosen is a request and does not guarantee a seat in the class
Academic core classes will take preference over electives
If your child scored a level 1 or 2 on the 2018-2019 FSA they will have to take an intensive class that will count as an elective course.

An electronic link will be posted in the student TEAMS channel Friday, May 8th at 12;00 pm for each current 6th and 7th grade student to complete for next year. Elective requests will be granted to each student on a first come basis. Students may be scheduled into a maximum of three electives each school year contingent upon their FSA scores in reading and math. P.E./Health is an elective mandated by the state of Florida for all students to take each year.

Any students scoring less than a level 3 in Reading or Math on the 2018-2019 FSA will need to take an intensive class, serving as one elective.
